Art occurences after 1950 and views of artist, critics and gallery owners for alternative art places in Turkey

This research includes the matter of ?Art Occurences After 1950 and Vıews Of Artıst, Crıtıcs and Gallery Owners For Alternatıve Art Places In Turkey?. In this research the opinions of the artists, critics and gallery managers? about the art events occuring after 1950 in Turkey and the reflections of these formations, participants? contemporary art formations and Alternative Art Places in Turkey are held.In this study, formation of art after 1950, particularly in approaches to contemporary art and alternative art venues in Turkey were investigated. Alternative art spaces in Turkey aimed to study, research was organized survey method. Research in this model, half-structured interview technique was based on qualitative research methods.According to the results of the survey, it is understood that art places in Turkey?s not enough. Although this demand in İstanbul has been meet, it is still insufficient in other cities of Turkey. Despite there is the increasing number of galleries, new artists? trainings and the improvements of art activities by the helps of biennials, it was understood that activities where the art approaches are exhibited, are not paid enough attention. It has been come to the conclusion that there will be no restrisctions to the participants about the use of space on contemporary art exhibitions, they can open an exhibition in anywhere under any circumstances, there is an increasing interest by training of new artist and the improvements in contemporary art activities in Turkey, instead of alternative places? being enough or not, the quality of the works exhibited in these places is much more important, and in the future; the role in meeting the artist-buyer will be held by the galleries, fairs and biennials.Key Words: Contemporary Art, Alternative Art Places, Art Occurences after 1950.
