The image of women in Turkish printing art after 1960

This study examined the "Woman Image ında in Turkish Printed Painting Art from 1960 to present. In this study, process in the selection of subject and female figures in Turkish plastic arts. The artists of the period, who could not remain indif-ferent to considering the historical process of art, the issue of women in plastic arts and especially in the art of print painting has beenexamined.Then, the prominentis-sues in the Turkishprint art andtheimage of women were mentioned.The grouping movements that existed in the art until 1960 andbesides II. Considering the effects of World War II on art, the subject schosen by the artists in their Works and the female figures in their Works were evaluated. The 1960 period can be defined as the period in which Turkish society's process of acquiring new cultural identity by getting rid of cultural identity in the previous years was the most dominant. It is seen that the political, social and artistic process experienced in the 1960s has started a new the social events in the period, searched for different figures and subjects from the previous years. In their works, they have produced works in artistic movements such as realistic, expressionist and surrealism. After the 1980 coup, the changes in society caused a different process in art. Considering the historical process of art, both the art historians and the artists themselves, the most questioned and contemplated part of art has been the subject and figure concepts. Finally, in the light of the information obtained as a result of this research, the developments in Turkish Print Painting after 1960 will be examined as "woman image" as the scope of the research.
