Abstract (EN)

Since the mid-20th century, art, science and technology have interacted and this interaction has become an important part of Contemporary Art. In the 1980s, technology was seen as an element of art and new and diverse art practices emerged. Today, these art practices, which are gathered under the name of New Media Art, have reached large masses with the influence of computer, video, internet and mobile technologies. New Media Art is defined as a virtual media environment where the audience can interact with artworks independently of time and space. Art has utilized the opportunities offered by every era and created the art defined as New Media Art today. This new art form, which has turned into interactive designs in the computer environment, has been further enriched with various solutions and additions with its hybrid structure. However, the integration of technology and art has provided the viewer with the opportunity to create an environment full of interactive elements and moving visuals, while at the same time expanding the field of expression of art and design. In this study, with the development of technology, art practices such as "net art", "virtual reality", "augmented reality", "digital art", "photo processing art", "video art", "computer art" and "nft", which are gathered under the name of New Media Art, are examined together with the works of artists. Today, these art practices created with the help of digital technologies have expanded the boundaries of art, paved the way for the use of new materials and techniques, and allowed the audience to participate in art experiences.
