Abstract (EN)

The accumulation of capital in the economic growth and development of countries has undoubtedly a very important place. Capital accumulation is achieved through the directing of an increasing amount of revenues to domestic savings and, consequently, through investments financed by domestic savings. Therefore, capital accumulation and economic growth; it can be viewed as a function of the process of saving, increasing and transforming into investments. At the same time, it can lead to an increase in domestic savings by increasing the increase in economic growth. However, low or insufficient domestic savings have increased the dependency of the country on foreign sources, causing pressure on the balance of payments; increasing the current account deficit and endangering the fragility of the economy and the sustainability of growth. like Turkey to sustain its economic development without having sufficient income and savings levels for developing countries, the savings have a different significance. In Turkey, a serious decline in the domestic savings rate in recent years and the resulting savings are composed meet the investment. This situation has a negative impact on the economy by means of saving-investment deficit and current account deficit. In this context, Turkey's economy in the 1980-2016 study period and change in the public process of saving the essence, domestic savings-investment deficit and the impact on economic growth will be examined.
