The purpose of this article is to reveal the spatial and cultural reflection of the settlement the migrants from Bulgaria to Turkey in and after the year of 1989 created on the environment. For this purpose, migrant dwellings in Görükle and Kestel have been examined. The main target of the article was to determine the factors that affect the formation of the unique atmosphere of the Immigrant Houses and to investigate the effects of migrations on the space. The thesis consists of five chapters. In the first part, the conceptual framework is discussed; migration, migration types, international migration factors and migration theories are explained. The most important of these topics is the factors that cause international migration, which is also the subject of my thesis. In the second chapter, the temporal change of the Turkish presence in Bulgaria and the spatial distribution of the Turkish population in the historical process have been discussed. In the third chapter, the migrations from Bulgaria to Turkey between 1878 and 1989, almost a century, have been divided into periods and examined with their causes and consequences. In the fourth chapter, settlement plan of Bursa has been addressed and the place and importance of migrations in the development of Bursa have been mentioned, and the temporal and spatial distributions of the number of migrants in Bursa have been explained. In the fifth chapter, the social and spatial effects of the immigrants who came to Bursa from Bulgaria in 1989 and afterwards have been tried to be demonstrated through surveys conducted in the migrant dwellings of Görükle and Kestel districts of Bursa.
