Violence is a constructive and destructive phenomenon that creates and disrupts social relations in everyday life. According to the results of studies done by anthropologists, what we understand from violence varies from culture to culture and from the mentality that is directly related to it. What it means, then, depends on the cultural-mental references in which violence is not violence. What is decisive here is the cultural and mental structure in Turkish society and Cinema, which means violence and causes violence. In this context predominantly the gifts and honor cultures and pre-capitalist primitive mentality stand out. The cinema is built on cultural and mental references. Violence in cinema producing culturally and mentally appropriate narratives is regarded as an aesthetic phenomenon linked to content and form.
