Özet (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to examine the parenting attitudes of parents with children ages 2-4. The data of the study were applied to 356 parents selected from 102.924 families who have children in the 2-4 age group in Diyarbakır province between 2017-2018. In the study, a data form containing demographic information and 3 sub-dimensions of Family Life and Child Raising Attitudes Scale were applied to the parents. The obtained data were analyzed statistically with SPSS 21 package program. When the results obtained from the study are taken into consideration, it is concluded that the parents have more democratic attitudes than the parents, that the attitudes of the parents do not differ according to the gender of the child and the perceived economic level and that the parents who have single children have more democratic attitudes than the parents with more than one child. In addition, younger mothers have achieved more control than older mothers, with the result that fathers have been more democratic as their age progressed, more controlled disciplines with lower levels of education and more discipline for their children. Relevant results have been discussed in the light of literature.
