Abstract (EN)

In this study entitled "Early Bronze Age weaving loom weights uncovered during the Seyitömer Mound excavations", weaving loom weights dating back to "EBA" period, uncovered in Seyitömer Höyük's Dumlupinar University excavations carried out by Prof, Dr. A.Nejat Bilgen between 2006 and 2014, were examined. In this context, the lists of the inventory works sent to the museum were examined, the drawings and photographs of the finds were transferred to the digital environment, and the drawings were drawn again in digital environment (AutoCAD and Photoshop). Within the scope of this study, firstly, the geographical, climatic and geological structures of Seyitömer Höyük were examined. Then, information about the excavations and stratigraphy of the mound in previous years was given. In order to better comprehend weaving loom weights, which is the main subject of the study, firstly the information about weaving, then the information about weaving loom weights transmitted to us in the historical process and in philological documents has been mentioned. In this direction, uncovered weaving loom weights dating back to the EBA period in Seyitömer Höyük were cataloged and examined typologically. The works were grouped in terms of decoration and cross section, and typological study has been utilized. The loom weights of these weaving looms uncovered in Seyitömer Höyük were compared with similar findings uncovered in Western Anatolian cities, accordingly, it has been tried to determine the usage and usage purposes of the bench weights and whether Seyitömer Höyük is a production center.
