Sinop depuls and their during Second Parliamentary period

The National Struggle, which was initiated under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk against the invasion attempt applied to the country, brought popular sovereignty to Turkish lands. The people's sovereignty established under the umbrella of the Great National Assembly first cleared the country from the occupation, and later strengthened the roots of national sovereignty by abolishing the sultanate. With the end of the National Struggle, the first Assembly achieved its purpose and ended its term by going to elections. The Assembly entered the second term with deputies with high education levels and took important steps towards modernization. This thesis, which has been studied on the Sinop deputies operating in the second term of the TBMM, focuses on the work of the Sinop Deputies, whether they contributed to Sinop, the Assembly activities and their success in international relations. In the first part, a brief information about the geographical features of Sinop and an overview of what happened in Sinop from the National Struggle to the opening of the second period are given. In the second part, although the subject of the thesis is Sinop deputies, brief information about the second term of the Turkish Grand National Assembly is given in order to better understand the subject. In the third part, information is given about the second term Sinop deputies. In the fourth part, the speeches of the deputies in the Assembly, the comments, proposals and questions they gave to the Assembly are given without changing. While preparing this thesis, Prime Ministry Ottoman Archive, Prime Ministry Republic Archive and Parliamentary Archive have beden used. In addition, by making use of master's and doctoral theses, articles and encyclopedias, memoirs and research works have also beden used. In addition, Riza Nur Private Archive of Sinop Riza Nur Library has been used in the thesis study as well.
