Abstract (EN)

Landscape Painting has taken place in pictorial art from hundreds of years ago until now,as a reflektion of society's passion for nature.Firstly the theme of landscape used for to strengthen the expreeion as a background in miniatures.In this research,I do a research on development and stages of the landscape painting in Turkish pictorial art.Landscape is a factor in artist's paintings that shows their styles and their artistic attitude.This is important in Turkish pictorial art and for artists and it is important also in terms of analysing and commenting the examples of artist's paintings.I prepared this study to understand the process of formation and development of landscape in Turkish pictorial art. I tried to analys landscape in 20th century Turkish pictorial art theme,according to historical process.Starting from Ottomans,I examined the point of view of Turkish society,the periodic movements by groups and emerging trends in individual.I mentioned the phasesof landscape and the stylistic language used by the artists.This research is about the miniature's effects on the development of the landscape painting,effects of the artists from west and the currents,the military artist's arientation to the nature before Sanayi-i Nefise and individual landscape mavement after 1950.In the research I used screening model.Keywords: Landscape, the Turkish official, 1914 Generation, Independent, Group D, New Group, Group of Black Pen.
