Abstract (EN)

In the 20th century art environment, the introduction of technology into human life at a dizzying speed and rapid change of society is noteworthy. As a result of this change, it is seen that art has broken into the forms of art that it took over before itself and entered into a new formation with different thoughts and expressions. In particular, the fact that dozens of art movements in the art scene of the 20th century were in search of new forms of expression in line with the requirements of the era and the acceleration of social life have united most art products in a common search point. In this respect, abstraction and the tendency to abstract painting are among the most noteworthy new forms of expression in art. In these forms of artistic expression, where abstract-intellectual existence of objects is at the forefront, geometry is at the forefront as well as intuition-knowledge duality. This study aims to examine the period and art movements that affect the emergence of abstract painting in the period between 1900-1950. The artists who are known as the pioneers of abstract painting and the changes of their works in the historical flow have been examined on the basis of fictionalization and geometric arrangement of surfaces. The new era of art movement, which began with the increasingly distancing from the representation of nature, brought new concepts and breaths to the problems of the age and the art environment in a short time.
