Abstract (EN)

Cinema is one of the most effective mass media of our age. The issue of whether cinema affects society or not is an important research topic. Does society affect cinema or does cinema shape society? The number of such questions could be multiplied. When the literature is examined, it is possible to see that cinema is one of the most important elements that make up the social memory. With this study, while being looked at the ability of "New Turkish Cinema" to create social memory, it was also investigated whether there was a nostalgic tendency after 2000. Typical case sampling, which is among the 6 film-purpose sampling methods, was chosen for the study. Selected films were analyzed by sociological film analysis method. While evaluating the films, they were examined through facts such as country, family, belonging, neighborhood and home. It was concluded that the analyzed films fit the examples of nostalgia cinema.
