This provided an insight intoseveral aspects of the social science programme such as overall view of the programme,skills and acquisition, themes, activieties and evalutation and grading of the 2005curriculum and 1998 social sciences programmes.This study was carried out with all 612 teachers who were teaching to 1., 2.,and 3. grade pupils in Uşak in 2005 and 2006. 438 out of 612 questionnaires were usedin the final analysis. The data was analyzed by using SPSS package programme. Thefollowing techniques were used to analyze the data: frequency, percentage, means, t andf tests. In the tests of significance α:0.05 level was used.Key words: social studies, curriculum, teacher, constructruitisizm
