Examination of 2018 religious culture and ethics secondary education program in terms of educational approaches

Many studies have been carried out in order to see the extent of the effect of development activities on the programs. In particular, examining the effects of the approaches taken as a basis in the program on the elements of the program is important in terms of monitoring the effectiveness of the program. Qualitative research method was used in our study. In this context, literature review, document analysis and text analysis techniques were used. In our research, first of all, the historical process of Religious Education in Turkey is included in the axis of the programs developed over the years. Then, the situation in Turkey in terms of program development activities and the impact of these activities on the programs are discussed. In the continuation, in the context of the main subject of our research, the approaches in the Religious Culture and Ethics curriculum and the educational approaches based on the programs are mentioned under separate headings. The last part of our research, in the light of this information, includes the examination of the aims, objectives, learning-teaching processes and evaluation elements in the 2018 Religious Culture and Ethics Secondary Education program, which is the most recently developed and updated program, in terms of educational approaches. As a result of our research, it is aimed to include educational Approaches, which are stated to have an important place in the program in terms of Religious Culture and Ethics, in all four elements of the program.
