Minstrel tradition which has a rooted history; it has very important place in Turkish culture. Minstrels in their poems explain to folks grief,happiness and fact that's shakes society in their poems as a folks voice. In verbal literture age,minstrels named after cam(kam),baksi and poet sang poems with instruments which name after lute;with the acceptance of Islam they evolved to minstrel who's to sign with saz and after that with the effect of Islam's msytcal images have been came in to poem and within in this scope they start to lost their foretelling and healing ability by the time and with these improvements mystical imagenery starting to enter to folk poems. Minstrel poems are verbal literature products too as same as other folk literature products.This products has been start to transcribe to writing since 15 centuries. Poems has been transcribe with the help of literacy people and poems's have been collect together in the books known as cönk and so it has been prevent to forgotten. Although the tradition no longer sees its old reputation with the developing technology and social media, but it is still alive especially in the Anatolian geography. Nowadays one who continues to of this ancient tradition is Nihat Oltulu.
