In this study, the purpose is to examine the vocabulary levels of 3-6 age group children with autism versus normally growing children. In the study; to have identifications about ''the vocabulary levels of 3-6 age group children with autism versus normally growing children'', as part of ''Survey Model'' ; '' descriptive method'', and as a data gathering method ''survey method'' is carried out. The population of this study consists of 3-6 age group children with autism that study in a special education and rehabilitation center of ministry of national education in Adana in 2015-2016 and normally growing children of the same age group and their families. The sample of of the study consists of 70 children (38 girls and 32 boys) and their parents that dwell in Adana -Seyhan and Yüreğir districts-. 36 of these children are with autism and getting aid towards their personal development from Turuncu special education and rehabilitation center. The rest 34 samples are the children of the families that study in Adana/ Yüreğir district Solaklı primary school pre-education, and dwell here. The sample group are chosen by random sample choose method from Seyhan and Yüreğir districts. To get information about demographical features of the people that take place in the study, a ''Personal Information Form'' is created by the researcher in accordance with the literature. And to determine the vocabulary level of the children ''Peabody Image-Vocabulary test'' is implemented. The data is analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 program. In analysis of the data, Frequency analysis, in independent groups T-test and one-way analysis of variance is used. In the study, analysis of frequency that is related to the distribution of answers that given to the independent variables is implemented. Also, the relationship between dependent and independent variables is analyzed. To determine whether there is difference between groups or not, in binary variables ''T-test'', to determine the variables that more than two ''F-test'' is implemented. According to the obtained findings; it is revealed that there is a meaningful difference between the averages of normally growing individuals and individuals with autism. The difference between the averages of normally growing individuals and individuals with autism is meaningfully higher. When the data is examined according to the sex, in normally growing individuals, there is a big amount of difference in the score averages between boys and girls. In the individuals with autism there is a significant difference between the score averages of boys and girls (p<0,05), girls' averages are significantly higher than boys'. When the data is analyzed according to chronological age, in normally growing individuals, there are significant differences between the score averages of 3-4 age group individuals and the point average of 5.1-6 age group individuals; the point averages of 5,1-6 age group of children is considerably higher than the other ones. , When the data are analyzed according to age groups in individuals with autism, the points differ significantly (p<0,05). The point average of 5,1-6 age group individuals is higher than the point average of 4,1-5 age group individuals. 3-4 age group can't be analyzed because of being just one person in that group. When the data is analyzed according to receptive language age, in normally growing individuals, scores differ greatly according to receptive language age groups. The point average of 6,1-7 age group of individuals is greatly higher than the point average of 5,1-6 age group of individuals. 4,1-5 age group can't be analyzed because of being just one person in that group. In children with autism, there are differences between the point average of 2-3 receptive language age group and the point average of 3,1-4 receptive language age group individuals is higher than the other one.
