Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of health workers towards 360 degree performance system within the framework of a public hospital. The population of the study consists of managers, physicians and nurses working in Bingöl Public Hospital. In this study, 309 managers, physicians and nurses, determined with convenience sampling method, were interviewed with face-to-face questionnaires. The questionnaire used in the study consists of two parts. In the first part, questions about the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants are included. In the second part, Employee Attitude Scale "developed by Şimşek (2016) was used. Descriptive statistical methods, independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the data. Data were analyzed at 95% confidence interval. According to the results of the study, 79.9% of the participants want to work in a hospital where 360 degree performance system is applied. It was concluded that the attitudes of the employees vary according to gender and position status. In addition, it was concluded that the employees didn't differ according to their education and age status. Employees don't want to use 360 degree performance evaluation outputs in case of termination of employment contract, but they support their use in promotion decisions. As a result of these findings, it is seen that health workers have a positive attitude towards 360 degree performance evaluation system. In order to benefit from this system which is supported by employees, the necessary infrastructure should be established.
