Abstract (EN)
Trans-Cinnamaldehyde (C9H8O, molecular weight: 132,16 g / mol, purity> 99%), also known as cinnamaldehyde, is an active compound isolated from the root shell of Cinnamomum cassia. Cinnamomum cassia has been traditionally used in the treatment of gastritis, circulatory disorders and inflammatory diseases in both Eastern and Western countries. Cinnamaldehyde; is the main component of cinnamon bark oil which is widely used as an odor enhancing agent in foodstuffs such as beverages, ice cream, desserts and gum. In studies, Sinnamaldehyde shows a variety of biological activities such as antitumor, antifungal, cytotoxic and mutagenic/anti-mutagenic activities, suggesting it may be a useful chemotherapeutic agent for cancer treatment. It is also known that cinnamaldehyde inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells. In our study, rat embryonic fibroblast cells transfected with H-Ras oncogene (H-ras 5RP7) were used to investigate the mechanisms of action of cinnamaldehyde on cancer cells. NIH/3T3 are mouse embryo fibroblast cells. NIH/3T3 cells were used to compare the effects of cinnamaldehyde on cancer cells with those on normal cells. In this study; Cytotoxic effects of cinnamaldehyde in rat embryonic fibroblast cells transfected with H-Ras oncogene were determined and also the mechanisms of programmed cell death caused by these cells were investigated. Thus, it has been tried to contribute to the use of Sinnamaldehyde as an anti-cancer drug in the coming years.
