Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this thesis study is to compare the self-regulation skills of children aged 4-6 with and without stuttering, based on parent report and researcher measurement. 14 non-stuttering and 10 stuttering children aged 4-6 years participated in the study. Preschool Self-Regulation Scale and Self-Regulation Skills Scale for 4–6-Year-Old Children (Mother Form) were administered to the participants. In addition to the applied scales, the stuttering frequency of the stuttering group was calculated. For the purpose of the study, the participants' self-regulation skills were examined according to age, gender and stuttering frequency variables, and the self-regulation scores of children with and without stuttering were compared between groups. As a result of the study, it was observed that children with and without stuttering in the 4 and 6 age groups showed differences in their self-regulation skills.
