Abstract (EN)

Phthalocyanines are macrocyclic compounds of great importance nowadays. Phthalocyanine compounds are important structures that have a light of hope in the treatment of photodynamic cancer because they are photosensitive due to their metal atoms in the center. In the light of this information, tert-butyl phthalocyanine complexes were synthesized in the thesis study. In this thesis, commercially available 4- (tert-butyl) phenol (1) compound is reacted with ethylene carbonate to form 2- (4- (tert-butyl) phenoxy) ethan-1-ol (2), using 4-nitrophthalonitrile 4- (2- (4- (tert-butyl) phenoxy) ethoxy) phthalonitrile (3) compound was synthesized. Based on this newly synthesized phthalonitrile derivative, the metal (4a and 5a) phthalocyanines of the target metal were obtained with DBU using Zn(OAc)2.2H2O and Co(OAc)2.4H2O. Also, metal-free phthalocyanine (6a) was obtained from molecule 3. The structures of all compounds obtained were determined by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, UV-Vis and MALDİ-TOF spectral data.
