Transcription and analyzes of Kastamonu Sharia record no:4595 ( Aa.h. 1279-1284/ a.d 1862-1868)

This study is about transcription of Kastamonu Sharia Record No:4595, which sheds light on history of Kastamonu and its district Tosya, the social, economic and cultural life of the time. By means of the study, deep information is gathered about the life style of Kastamonu people, their economic conditions, types of cases at the courts, and records of probate courts. Since Kastamonu Sharia Record No:4595 contains the court records that belongs dates between the years 1279-1284 A.H. and 1862-1868 A.D. it is accepted as the main source of information of the period. During the study, documents within the record are transcripted with a great effort to find the most correct result. At the end of the study, all documnets are presented, within a general frame, for further studies on Kastamonu, Tosya, Muslim Judge, and the courts.
