The Examination Of The Effects Of Tablet/Phone Usage On The 5-6 Year Old Childrens' Social Emotional Developments This study investigates the impact of tablet and/or phone use on social-emotional development in 5-6 years old children. In this study, the descriptive research model was used. The subjects of the research were determined by one of the purposeful sampling methods: was used the convenience sampling method. Three schools were taken as the basis for the research. However, six more schools were added to the study due to lack of data. Primarily, the principals of the selected schools were informed about the study's subject, scope and data collection process. After that, kindergarten teachers in primary schools and classroom teachers responsible for 5-6 years old children groups in kindergartens were informed in the same way and it was explained that voluntary consent form, "Survey Form" and "Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation Scale (SCBE-30)" should be sent to their parents. It was stated that the answered forms would be collected a week later. The limit of significance for all statistics was chosen as p<0.05. According to the conclusions obtained, there were some results that were not statistically significant for the subjects that the impact of tablet/phone use of 5-6-year-old children on the social-emotional development were examined as well as there were many subjects that were statistically significant (p<0.05). In consequence of the study, it has been observed that the use of tablets/phones among children has an impact on their social-emotional development in terms of usage way, time, supervision status, etc. and it has been realized that the parents should be trained in this regard in line with the opinions received from the teachers.
