Transcription and analyzes of Kastamonu Sharia Record No: 571/161

It is not possible to obtain information about the history of a city withhout making use of the Şer'iyye Registers, which have a great importance in social and urban history research. Our study was carried out on the transcription of Kastamonu Sharia Registry numbered 571/161. Social, cultural, social, economic and administrative information was tried to be obtained by using court record and documents in the registry. In the Kastamonu Sharia Registry numbered 571/161, there are records of succession, exposures and proofs on varios subjects. By examinind the registry, the names of the sub-districts and the districts, districst, divans and towns in Kastamonu were reached. An attempt has been made to accurately transcribe the documents in the registry numbered 571/161.
