Abstract (EN)
In this study, during the last period of nineteenth century, it was aimed to shed light on the social and economic structure of Diyarbakır, which is one of the most important cities of the Ottoman Empire. For this, Legislative Registries was based on the researches of Ottoman History which is being the source of first order and offering reliable and concrete information about the term they were subsequently received.In this sense, as the main source of thesis which is covering the years 1893 ? 1894 Legislative Diyarbakır Registry No:593 have been identified. So that the social, economic and cultural situation of the city was tried to expose in the last period of nineteenth century.In the examined period, Diyarbakır is one of the city center of Ottoman Empire at the east side. City, has attracted people because of the intersection of roads and maintained its role as a vibrant commercial center. 1893 ? 1894, as a necessity of life in this city, Muslims and non muslem lived in peace together in all areas of social and economic life. As well as, kept alive the city?s Islamic culture, it is clearly obvious that it is a Muslim Ottoman city.
