Özet (EN)

5G mobile communication is an indispensable technology due to immense usage scenarios it provides. Unlike other generations, the 5G communication network utilizes a wide variety of operating frequencies. In 5G base stations, there is a requirement for an ultra-wide band antenna that covers all of the operating frequency bands n257, n258, n261 (24.25-29.5 GHz). In this study, 45° linear slant polarized antenna design is aimed. Antenna is radiating from the slots with a cavity structure behind. The unit antenna gain is over 14 dBi with gain variation ±0.5 dB throughout the band. Impedance match |S11|is less than -15 dB. Firstly, +45° linear slant polarized 2×2 aperture, cavity-back, air-gap waveguide fed unit antenna was designed. In order to improve the antenna's gain, groove and stub have been applied to the surface of the antenna. Instead of using a rectangular feed aperture, which is the traditional method in the transition from the waveguide to the cavity, ian hourglass sturcture is used to improve imedance match. Waveguide dimensions at the feed part of the antenna are designed to be the same as the WR34 standard waveguide. The WR34 adapter is externally attached to the antenna. In the second and third antennas, two unit antennas are combined and the polarization windows are adjusted to be 2×4 apertures with linear slant polarization of +45° and -45°. The power divider structure has been designed and optimized for a perfectly compatible transition so that the unit antennas can be fed in equal amplitude and in-phase. Antennas are produced in parts from Aluminum material in CNC. To be placed on the base station, the second and third antennas were combined on a single structure and the fourth antenna structure with ±45° slant polarization was designed. All antennas have |S11|<-15 dB value, ±0.5 dB gain variation, ±2.5° half power beam width deviation value in 5G mmWave operating region. As a result, the antenna structures developed are appropriate for usage in 5G base stations.
