Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between the lifelong learning status of individuals aged 60 and over and their successful aging. The study was carried out with 433 participants aged 60 and over, reached by convenient sampling method. 'Personal Information Form', 'Lifelong Learning Scale' and 'Successful Aging Scale' were used as data collection tools in the research. The analysis of the obtained data was made using the statistical program. It has been determined that the lifelong learning status and successful aging status of the individuals participating in the study are at a moderate level. In addition, the lifelong learning status of the participants aged 73-84 was higher than the participants aged 60-72; It was found that the lifelong learning status of the participants who received education at high school or higher level was higher than those of primary and secondary school graduates. It was concluded that there was a moderate positive relationship between the participants' lifelong learning status and successful aging status. Considering the results of the research, lifelong learning policies can be developed by educators and gerontologists from a geragogical perspective for individuals in the process of preparing for old age and elderly individuals.
