Abstract (EN)
Although it is known that the origins of Turkish-Russian relations began with commercial ties even before the conquest of Istanbul, it is seen that the beginning of diplomatic and political relations began with the capture of Kazan and Astarhan by the Russians in the 16th century. From the 17th century onwards, military and diplomatic relations between the two states were established on the basis of reciprocity, and the period of successive wars began with the signing of the Treaty of Küçük Kaynarca at the end of the 18th century. With this treaty signed in the last quarter of the 18th century, the theme of the 19th century Ottoman-Russian Wars was also drawn. In this respect, the first encounters of the two states in the 19th century took place with the Ottoman-Russian War of 1828-1829. For this purpose, the Ayniyat book numbered 613, titled Russia Matter, which constitutes the subject of this study, is important in terms of covering the dates of October 11-November 8, 1828 of this war. In this ledger, which contains the copies of the memoranda sent by the Sadaret Kaymakam to the officials in charge at the fronts and reflecting the one-month period of the war, information about the appointments, food supply, military supply, the situation of prisoners and deserters, and the general course of the war was given and the ledger was transcribed.
