Abstract (EN)

It is important to assess oral motor skills for diagnosing motor speech disorders accordingly and developing appropriate intervention programs for children with speech and language disorders. Diadochokinesis is a measurement that is commonly used to assess oral motor skills in this area. Analyses of DDK including rate, accuracy and consistency of speech motor tasks consist of monosyllabic such as /pɅ/, /tɅ/, /kɅ/ or multisyllabic such as /pɅtɅ/ and /pɅtɅkɅ/. This study aimed to compare diadochokinetic performances of stuttering and non-stuttering children between 7-12 years. Participants were girls and boys for all age groups and their DDK datas were compared to datas of typically developed children. In conclusion, analysis of diadochokinetic datas were evaluated according to age, sex and stuttering. As a result of the analyzes it is found that there are statistically significant differences in /pɅ/ and /kɅ/ monosyllabic tasks for non-stuttering children, also in gender comparisons /kɅ/ syllable has significant difference for girls. In addition, for /pɅ/ syllable significant difference is found for 10-12 age group.
