Some reactions of 9,9-dichloro bicyclo[5.2.0]nona-2,4-dien-8-one

Starting from cycloheptatriene, 9,9-dichlorobicyclo[5.2.0]nona-2,4-dien-8-one (22) was obtained.After 3-chloro-8,8a-dihydro azulen-2(1H)-one (9), R(S)-3-chloro-8,8a-dihydro-2H-cyclohepta[b]furan-2-one (33) and 8aS-3,3-dichloro-3,3aS,8,8aR-tetrahydro-2H- cyclohepta[b]furan-one (46) were synthesized from reactions of the compound 22 with reagents such as H2O2 and diazomethane, their corresponding unsaturated endoperoxides were synthesized by photooxygenations and their reactions were also investigated.
