Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to evaluate to achieving levels of the acquisition in reading comprehension of ninth grade students in the Turkish language teaching syllabus in the classes 6-8.For this reason, descriptive scanning model was used. Population of the study is three different types of high school in the center of Malatya. The test performed to ninthgrade students of Anatolian highs chool, traditional high school, high school of the fine arts, due to collectdata .In the test, 38 multiple-choice questions were asked to evaluate nineteen of the "comprehension and analyzing the text" acqusition of "reading" learning field. Two questions were chosen for a acquisition.As a result of the study, it has seen that success rate of the Anatolian high school is 91.32 %, success rate of the traditional high school is 70.96%, success rate of the highsc hool of finearts is 68.61%.Gender differences was handled with in the same test and successrates were found to be 74.29% formale, 79.64% for female students.Key Words: Turkish teaching syllabus, reading acquisition, reading comprehension
