This thesis aims to analyze the book of Imam Birgivî, one of the Hanafi jurists of the Hijri tenth century, called "Sharh Shurūti's-Salāh." In this book, he dealt with all the issues related to ıbadah. The study covers the part from the al-Bab "Shurūti's-Salāh" to the "Ghasl al-masnūn." Three manuscripts were used in the editing process of the book. In the study, the "historical characterization" method was used to describe Imam Birgivī's personal and scholarly life and contextualize the events that took place during his lifetime. In the editing part of the study, the rules of edition criticism were generally followed. In other words, in this part, various stages have been followed, such as transcribing the text by comparing it between copies, indicating the differences in the footnote without comment, quoting the verses and hadiths, and attributing the sayings in the text to their source. In outline, this study has reached the following conclusions: Imam Birgivī was one of the most critical Hanafi jurists of his time, and his book Sharḥ Shurūti's-Salāh was the most famous in the Hanafi madhhab at the time, dealing with issues related to prayer. The book presents evidence from the Qur'an, hadith, and the opinions of renowned scholars in an organized and systematic manner. This is why leading Hanafi scholars, such as Imam al-Hasouni, use it as a reference source. The book also relies on the main books of the Hanafi madhhab, such as al-Sarahsī's al-Mabsūt, Imam Muhammad's al-Asl, and al-Dahlawī's al-Fatawa al-Khāniyya, to comment on the shurūti's-salāh. The author's emphasis on scientific ethics is also evident from his quotations. For this reason, this work will continue to be a work that should be taken into consideration in the Hanafi madhhab.
