Analysis of A'sha Hamdan's Divan in terms of Islamic history

The main objective of this thesis study is to adress the relationship between poetry collection of A'sha Hemdân and Islamic history during the Umayyad period. The study consists from introduction, result and two more sections. The introduction provides a general informations about the study‟s objective, significance, method and the references that were used in the study. The first section talks about the poetrist life and an overview of the political situation of his city that he was born in „Kufah‟ during that time. In the second section, the historical contents of the poetries were talked about. In addition, some of the political events (that were included in poetries) that happened during that time also were discussed and the possible reasons behind them were also included. For this purpose, many different references were used. In the conclusion section, the results that were obtained during the study had been included.
