Examination of maritime transport and security in Turkey within the framework of EU common transport policy

In the first part of the study, the history of the EU, the EU common transport policies and the transport routes in general are examined; maritime transport is discussed in detail. Ongoing section examining the modes of transport in Turkey is supervised compliance with EU policies and activities. Withal, the current situation in both EU transport and Turkish transport is revealed by some numerical data. The following part of the thesis study deals with maritime transportation. Maritime security policies in the EU and Turkey are examined in the form of a conceptual framework. In this thesis, maritime security is examined in the concept known as "maritime safety" in English. In addition, the concept known as "maritime security" in English is mentioned for informational purposes. Then the study focuses on maritime transportation in Turkey and aims to provide information on transportation and safety related to that transportation. As the end of all this literatüre review, the study is completed with a summary result.
