Evaluation of EU countries and Turkiye in terms of transportation modes

The aim of this search is to evaluate the transportation mode utilization of Turkiye and selected EU countries, namely Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland and Spain, for the years 1990-2021. In the study, a comparative analysis was made using secondary data. In the first part of the study, the concept of international trade and international trade theories, transportation types according to the type of carrier and the type of transportation Logistics Performance Index is explained and the related literature review is made. In the second part of the study, the general economic outlook of Turkiye, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland and Spain is explained and the road, air and rail transportation performances of these countries between 1990-2021 are analyzed with the help of graphs.
