Qur'anic sciences are a body of disciplines that centre upon the accurate understanding of the divine word, its sound interpretation, and the careful examination of all related matters. This historical process, which extends back to the early periods of Islam, has made possible the formation of a rich religious and scholarly tradition. The intensive efforts and endeavours made for this purpose have especially laid the groundwork for the emergence of a vast body of literature in the fields of exegesis and recitation; thus, this accumulation has been transmitted as a legacy from generation to generation. On the other hand, these sciences, which do not merely aim to understand the sacred text, have also contributed to humanity's intellectual capital and paved the way for the scholarly and intellectual development of Islamic civilisation. With the perspective provided by this scholarly and historical background, this study examines the approach of Abdulkerim Muderris towards Qur'anic sciences through his remarkable seven-volume Arabic work, Mavahibu'r-Rahman. The work's defining features in terms of style and methodology have been identified and critically evaluated through a comprehensive perspective, underlining its contributions to the academic literature. It is evident that this valuable work, authored with profound scholarly insight, rests on a solid scholarly foundation built upon both narration-based and reasoning-based approaches, offering new horizons for contemporary researchers. In this regard, it is our sincere hope that the study will serve as a valuable source for future academic investigations in the field. The research consists of five main sections. The first section discusses the subject, aim, significance, method, and position of the research within the existing literature. The second section examines Muderris's historical context, scholarly identity, and his tafsir, Mavahibu'r-Rahman, in a comprehensive manner. In the third section, which explores the first part of the literature, the narration-based Qur'anic sciences addressed in Mavahib are analysed, while the fourth section systematically examines the reasoning-based Qur'anic sciences, classified according to linguistic, stylistic, and semantic aspects. In the work, which notably demonstrates how narration-based and reasoning-based approaches are balanced, Muderris's efforts to uncover the deeper layers of meaning in the verses while adhering to the narration tradition are discussed through practical examples. Abdulkerim Muderris, with his work Mavahibu'r-Rahman, has succeeded in conveying the fundamental elements of the classical exegesis tradition to the present day through a clear and comprehensible style. By addressing narration-based and reasoning-based Qur'anic sciences within a systematic integrity, Muderris remains faithful to classical sources while at the same time developing original interpretations in places; thus, he has enhanced both the scholarly quality and the comprehensibility of the work. The clear and consistent style of expression in the work, the meticulous use of sources, and the structural coherence of the text have been the main factors that reinforce the place of Mavahibu'r-Rahman within the exegesis literature. In these aspects, the work serves as a valuable reference for both contemporary researchers and readers interested in the field, making significant contributions to the continuity of the Qur'anic sciences tradition.
