Abstract (EN)
Damage to the ecological and topographical characteristics of a region where the work is performed due to mining activities constitutes a very grave problem in both sectorial and environmental sense. This study was conducted to demonstrate that damage to the environment can be kept at minimum while our underground resources are economically operated, furthermore, that the natural texture which has changed on account of mining activities can be recovered for the nature in a way that is much more efficient and much richer than before. The first question that comes to mind talking about mining in the world and in our country is how big the damage to nature shall be and the extent of environmental problems that can potentially emerge in the future because of that. Especially in our country, the issue is handled in a much more prejudiced manner since the mining culture is not very sophisticated. This situation creates an opposition between non-governmental societies, local people on the one hand side and miners on the other hand side; sometimes it may even bring about failures to operate our mines that are utterly valuable for the economy of the country. Our country has a quite rich mineral potential with respect to the underground resources. The ability to operate our underground resources is of great significance with respect to the development of not only the country but also the region where the work is performed. For that reason, it is necessary to dismiss the environmental damage caused by mining activities and to make use of our underground resources. Furthermore, the mines have an important role in elevating the prosperity level of our country. The scientific studies about the subject are underway and they support this study.
