Abstract (EN)
As the rapidly developing technology world creates new opportunities and new tactics to learn and teach, internet's use in addition to all kind of other communication technologies makes it possible to reach people with limited time and space, along with increasing the effectiveness of Education. In the educational world, which is one of the dimensions of globalization, it is of crucial significance that the developing technology world has increased reach of new information, and that information and technology can be rapidly passed beyond national borders. In this dissertation, the main purpose was to examine the perspectives of the staff open and distance education faculty on social media interaction in communication with students of the open education programs of the University of Istanbul since 2011.
