Özet (EN)

The Turkic Republics have been in close relations with Turkey since the period they gained independence. After the Justice and Development Party came to power, Turkish foreign policy was tried to be shaped in a new way. In this sense, my thesis study aims to determine the real dimension of the relations in the AK Party period by analyzing Turkey's relations with the Turkic Republics. In the study, the main features of Turkey's foreign policies towards the Turkic Republics in the 2000s will be examined, and the political and economic relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are evaluated especially on the basis of the AK Party Governments. On the other hand, Turkey, as an energy center, has realized joint energy projects with the Turkic Republics. These projects are effective in satisfy Turkey's energy demand, accelerating the energy sales of the Turkic Republics, and increasing the strategic union between countries. In the study, national and regional joint energy projects carried out between the Turkic Republics are discussed.
