Researching the presence of Cryptosporidium spp by microcopical inspection and ELISA at the faeces samples gotton from the patients at Adnan Menderes University Application and Research Hospital

In this study, investigation of Cryptosporidium oocysts at the patients came to Adnan Menderes University Application and Research Hospital was aimed. Study has been achieved at Parasitology Laboratory of Adnan Menderes University Application and Research Hospital between September 2012-September 2013. In this study 184 of all faeces samples with diarrhea came from different units of hospital to ADU Parasitology laboratory were put in disposable faeces cups. These samples belong to 0-90 ages of male and female patients. The parasitological investigation of the samples brought to laboratory of Department of Parasitology in ADU Veterinary Medicine School has beeen done at the parasitology laboratory. Then to diagnose the cryptosporidium oocyts stained with Kinyoun acid-fast stain and examined by microscope. After microscople examining Cryptosporidium parvum antigens were determined with ELISA method. C. parvum examinasion oocyts werw found at 10 of the samples (18.4%). As the result, C. parvum is an important factor at the symptomatic diarrhea cases. For this reason the risk groups must be examined with regards to parasite conscientiously. Acid-fast paint may be obviation for diagnosis. Exercises may carry out conscientiously with trained staff. Beside this its shown that ELISA method is more sensitive and spesific then microscopic methods with easy and fast application and had been thought that its an alternative to microscopic methods.
