Structural Transformation in Afghanistan Foreign Trade After 2001 Examination of its İmpact on Foreign Trade Between Afghanistan-Turkey

The state of Afghanistan is known as one of the most conflicted and unstable countries of the 20th century. However, the 21st century started as a period when the conflicts in the country ended, and peace and stability were tried to be restored, this stability was again interrupted in the following years. Afghanistan has made significant progress in many areas in the last 20 years because of its own efforts, as well as the contributions made with the help and support of the international community. It has entered the process of restructuring in its economic, political, military, and social fields. He tried to take important steps especially in the economic field. However, a large part of Afghanistan's economy still depends on financial aid created by foreign aid, and it must follow an economic policy dependent on foreign aid and investments until it implements its own national development system. For this purpose, Turkey is among the top countries that help and invest in Afghanistan. Turkey has not spared its aid and support during the independence, occupation and especially the reconstruction period of Afghanistan. For this purpose, Turkey has always been supported in many areas for Afghanistan's prosperity and stability and for its development. As of Afghanistan's restructuring process, a new page has been opened in Turkish-Afghan relations. Turkey plays an active role in the restructuring of Afghanistan, one of these roles is in the fields of economic and commercial cooperation. The aim of this research is to examine the structural transformation in Afghanistan's foreign trade after 2001, the effect of this structural transformation on foreign trade between Afghanistan and Turkey, and to contribute to the development of foreign trade relations between Afghanistan and Turkey.
