Recently, disasters keep on giving negative effects by rising in number. By systematizing response to disaster, to minimize the harm after disasters, studies are being done rapidly all around the world.HEICS is accepted as a system which is within the framework of certain rules, easy, understood by everyone and realigned to all hospitals.Hospital Disaster Plain which is done within HEICS started to be used by realigning to our country. In our country, in terms of disaster risk, earthquakes, water floods, traffic accidents are in the front rank. Throughout the country, while planning, such kind of disasters must be given broad place. In the risk analysis for Afyonkarahisar, traffic accidents, water floods and earthquakes are the most risky ones in order of seniority. Hospital Disaster Plain which needs to be done for our hospital must focus on these topics.In 2006, according to Hospital Disaster Plan and his friends? research, 20 percent of hospitals have done risk analysis. However, while doing Hospital Disaster Plan priorities must be determined and the system must be set up from the high risk to the low risk according to the risk analysis.In our research, education is done; information level is evaluated by surveys before and after the education. One and a half year after the Hospital Disaster Plan education, by applying the same survey, information is evaluated by means of stability.At the end of the education it is stated that university and college graduates are more successful however unrepeated information is forgotten. It is appropriate that education and practices are done, repeated systematically and applying the same procedure to the new coming personnel for the institution?s applying their disaster plan.In conclusion, it is necessary that Hospital Disaster Plan is done, updated systematically and personnel?s adopting the Hospital Disaster Plan by education and practices.
