Abstract (EN)
The research is considered to be important in the following aspects; the traditions, beliefs and rituals of the Kadiri cult which pioneered the development and spreading of Islam in Turkey is analyzed, the viewpoint of individuals about music in Kadiri? is defined, it is a new and original research on defining the place of music (especially performance) in Kadiri, methods and techniques of social psychology (which is relatively a new field of study in Turkey) are utilized. This study is limited to the village of Emirdağ, Afyonkarahisar province Karacalar village, the meaning of qualitative methods based on screening model is a descriptive research. As a conclusion of the research; data ordered according to sub problems have been processed and the role of traditions, rituals and music in lives of individuals, beliefs about music, the place and importance of music, customs, traditions and v rituals has been assessed. The research is believed to be unique, contributing and supportive to the field and new studies on the subject.
