Usage of trolley in the area of Afyonkarahisar city

We have been confronted with many problems since the urbanization conceptcome to our life. One of the most important one is traffic problem. People wholive in the cities need for the transport system which is fast , comfortable and notharmful to the ecological balance and they want the development of thesetransport politics are suitable. Afyonkarahisar is one of the developing cities andif there is no replacement in present conditions then it will face with trafficproblem like the other developing cities in the near future.Some alternativeimprovement studies should be done not to face with this problem.This study has been made to make research about the usage of trolley in the areaof Afyonkarahisar citiy. First of all present condition of traffic and population andsocio-economic acts of the city has been studied. Dividing in the zones has beenmade, passanger demond between the zones has been determined and projectionstudies has been made for coming 15 years by using statistics methods. Trolleysystem has been prepared according to the suitability of passanger demond andcity construction, lines which belong to this system are determined, the analysis ofadministrating and cost has been made. As a result, social and economic benefitsof the trolley system has been determined.Key Words: City of Transport, Tramway, Light Railway System
