Evaluation of current transportation infrastructure of Afyonkarahisar city and some future suggestions

In worldwide trafic accidents, as about 1.3 people lose their life, causing 20-50 million people?s injuries. Accordance to the World Healty Organisation, the most important cause of death for especially age of 15-29 of society has been trafic accidets. Further more, olmost 46 % of deth of the trafic accidents have been vonurable peope of the road user such as passenger, bysicle and motorbyke. As a result of this, the accidents not only causing a huge ecnomical cost fort he countries, but olso socialy and sycologicaly injured families facing life time unbearable cost. In order to prevent all these obstacles, a lot of countries have been different actions which may reduce of all. The accidents happening in our countries are also causing heavy economic and social consequencies. Afyonkarahisar is one of most important junctions, which serving not onlt city trafic but also hosting most of the transit- trafic passing throught tristic destinations and commercial centers.
