Nowadays, a large majority of society are living in the cities. This case bringabout dimension an quantity of increases in the municipality services. Thisincrease were formed a more complex situation and problems involved solution.Geographic Information System (GIS) are been utilization for the purpose ofdetermination of this condition necessities, information input and storage, obtainimmediate data as and when required, information update. In the frame of GIS,data processing belong to city compose of urban Information System (UIS).In this study, Soil Information Surveying Systems was created for AfyonkarahisarCity Centre. First of all, public improvement maps which were prepared byMunicipality of Afyonkarahisar City, were taken from Urban Information System.A District located in Afyonkarahisar City was chosen as pilot area and data basewas created to benefit from soil surveying reports. Afterwards informations weredigitized and processed to the maps.Net CAD and Arc GIS software were used for digitize process. In the process,inquiry could be performed in order to the informations about soils and theprocesses are facilitated to reach the soil knowledge?s.
