Abstract (EN)

With the development of technology, the use of electronic devices and especially mobile phones has led to an increase in base stations, and with it, electromagnetic field pollution has reached a risky level. In order to determine the electromagnetic pollution rates, electromagnetic field measurements should be made. In this study, it was aimed to determine the EMF exposure levels created by 19 base stations in Ağrı City Center. For this purpose, electric field strength (E), magnetic field strength (H) and equivalent plane wave power density (S) measurements were made at the determined points. In the study, hand-held Aaronia Spectran Analyzer HF - 6085 brand spectrum analyzer device, which can measure instantaneously and continuously in a wide frequency range, was used. At 5 m, 10 m and 15 m distances to the base stations and on the same day, 09:00-10:00 in the morning, 12:00-13:00, 15:00-16:00 in the afternoon and 18:00-19: At 00 hours, 12 different measurements were made for each base station, three different distances and four different time zones. As recommended by national and international institutions, a minimum of six minutes was set for each measurement in order for the measurements to produce a meaningful result. It was observed that the values (E, H and S) obtained from the measurements were below the limit values determined by ICNIRP.
