Investigation of narcissistic personality traits of university students in the province of Ağri in terms of sports and different variables

The purpose of this study is to examine to narcissistic personality traits of university students in the province of Ağrı in terms of sports and different variables. The research population are university students in different departments in Ağrı.The sample consists of a total sample of 973 individuals, including 509 women and 464 men who were studying in formal education programs in 2014-2015 education and training process in the Agri Ibrahim Chechen University. In order to determine the level of narcissistic personalities of the individuals who participated in the study was used by the 16-item Narcissistic Personality Inventory (Narcissistic Personality Inventory) from Columbia University Ames and colleagues developed in 2006. Inventory (NPI) Turkish version was performed in by Salim Atay (2009). It was used to analyze data by SPSS 21 software package. The data is used to analyze the frequency distribution,T test to examine the relationship between two independent variables ,the Anowa Waryans test to find the relationships between more than two variables. The difference between the variables were interpreted considering the p.0.05 significance. No significant difference was determined according to the findings; narcissist levels between variables of sex, sports, states, made sport type, age, family structure, personal income, family income, making time for weekly sport, father's occupation. It was found to be significantly different; narcissist levels between variables of study section, grade levels, the purpose of making sports, , place of residence and maternal occupational.
