Ahmed Hâlis' Tufeylü Menâkıbi'l-Kibâri'l - Mevlevî Fî Menkabeti Hazreti'ş - Şeyhi's-Sâkıbi'l-Ma'nevî and the analysis of this work in terms of its prose style [analysis - text (1b - 76b)]

This thesis is, in some extends, to demonstrate the characteristics of language and style of the menakib; to introduce Tufeylü Menâkıbi'l-Kibâri'l-Mevlevî fî Menkabeti Hazreti'ş-Şeyhi's-Sâkıbi'l-Ma'nevî written by Ahmed Hâlis who lived in 18th century poet of Turkish literature, sheikh and nâsir (is a special term to describe someone who writes proses in Divan Literature), with its transcription and criticism. In his menakib, Ahmed Hâlis aimed to describe Mustafa Sâkıb Dede's life , his father, who was a Mevlevî sheikh and poet like him, and his miracles. The menakib, also, has valuable details about Mevlevî culture and its history. Because the menakib has written about the life of poet Sâkıb Dede, who lived for forty-eight years in Kütahya(,which is an important city in terms of Mevlevi culture,) as a sheikh and who made a great contribution to many of his followers' education, by his son Ahmed Hâlis it is immensely important. It was written as a prose and it is has manzum texts (are written in rhyme and meter) from the poems of Mesnevi by Mevlânâ and Divan by Sâkıb Dede and also from some of the poems written by Ahmed Hâlis. Four of its copies have been reached and among those four copies there is one copy in Süleymaniye Manuscripts Library; three copies in Istanbul University Library- Rare Collection. In this study the copy recorded to number 1186 in Süleymaniye Manuscripts Library and the copies are recorded to number 1186 in Süleymaniye Manuscripts Library and the copies are recorded to number 10145 in İstanbul University Library and -Rare Collection, which are supposed to the most trustable and oldest copies have been edited and the text of the work has been formed. This study has a general view to 18th century prose works, the life of Ahmed Hâlis and Tufeylü Menâkıbi'l-Kibâri'l-Mevlevî fî Menkabeti Hazreti'ş-Şeyhi's-Sâkıbi'l-Ma'nevî, its criticizing transcription, analysis of the text in terms of style and language and the introduces of the copies.
