The annotation of premier fifty odes of Ahmedi Divan

The study we have made consists of the annotation of the fifty ghazals of The Divan, the collected poems, of Ahmedi of Germiyan. Our study is important in the way that it brings in, explains and distinguishes one of the first works that has affected the development of The Divan Poetry. ?The Divan? of Ahmedî, who is among the founders of The Divan Poetry, is transcribed by Yasar AKDOGAN as a doctorate thesis in 1979. The sample taken as a base is registered as Hamidiye 1082 in Süleymaniye Library. The first section of our study gives way to the general information about Ahmedi and the century he has lived. Later, it emphasizes Ahmedi?s literary personality.It passes to the second section after a brief information about the annotation of the text. The second section includes the annotations of the fifty ghazals of Ahmedi. Among the ghazals generally consisting of seven verses are possible to find several ones with nine verses. A ghazal in Farsi is included in the poems of our study. We have predicated on analyzing verse by verse in the annotation of the ghazals. A dictionary is prepared containing the meanings of the words in the verses we have examined and it is placed at the back of the thesis. Starting form the words whose meanings are given, the verses are explained in prose. In the explanations, it is emphasized what the poet wants to tell and the general concepts of The Divan Literature are explained where necessary. The literary arts are conceived as much as possible.
