Contextual index and functional dictionary of Ahmet Fâsih's work named Münazara-i Gül ü Mül

Divan literature has an important place in the history of Turkish literature. This period, known as old Turkish or classical Turkish literature, is influenced by an uninterrupted cultural heritage that dates back to very ancient times. It experienced its brightest period in the 17th century, when many poets were raised. This literary tradition is most deeply reflected in the works of Ahmet Fâsih, one of the leading figures of divan literature. While the vocabulary in Fâsih's works carries the richness and depth of divan literature to the present day, his works reveal how rich a heritage our literature has with his mixed verse-prose works. The aim of this study is to prepare a functional dictionary of Ahmet Fâsih's works. The uses in his works help us understand how meanings change according to context and their connotations. In order to properly understand classical literature, it is of great importance to examine the texts by taking into account the cultural background of the period. In this way, the artistic understanding, styles and cultural characteristics of our poets and writers who lived and produced works in a certain period will be better understood and will be evaluated by future generations. The examination of 'Gül ü Mül' in terms of contextual dictionary will reveal Ahmet Fâsih's use of language and provide a better understanding of him today. TEBDİZ (Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary of Historical and Literary Texts) is an electronic data system developed in dictionary format to reveal the meaning of classical Turkish literature works. This project aims to make classical Turkish literature and history texts understandable for today's readers and to make cultural heritage more accessible. In addition to previous analysis and explanation studies, TEBDİZ aims to systematically compile this information in dictionary form and present it over the internet. In addition, it provides great convenience to the user by showing all the meanings of any word or expression at the same time.
